what can I say, I encourage you to color this piece.
You have a great sense of detail and I would love to see it with colors and shades. -- ~darkwingsdomain ~The-Simpsons-Club *Tomb-Raiders-Temple ~ThunderbirdsFanClub I like it. I'm not in love with it, but I like it. As far as an indepth critique you ask for, I would say I'm finding it really confusing with the perspective here. It might be because it's not colored, but I'm imagining a girl standing like this but I can't figure out where the camera is placed to take the picture if you know what i mean.
The hand on the head is hard to tell if it looks right or not, something is off to me, but it might be the headset and not her hand, they look like one in the same. It looks to me like the finger might be wrong, too long maybe? I can't tell if she's pushing the head set to her ear or pulling it away, or if she has her hand behind her head. Also, I can't tell if the other arm is propped on her side or hanging behind her or where it goes. i think i see elbow but that's all I can tell. Again I can't figue out what angle this is supposed to be shot from or I could give you a better opinion on the modeling structure. -- ~gg~ If I had a nickel for every time some one called me crazy, I wouldn't need a job. So, new rule, if you intend on calling me crazy, you must send me a nickel. Thank you. Wow, that's a hell of a perspective. Makes for quite the interesting compostion.
Well, from there....Where is her left arm? Even if it's behind her body, it needs to be somewhat present in the picture. And the hand on the headphones is hard to see...that's b/c this is in bluescale and a sketch, I'm assuming. I'll withold judgement on that until I see the lineart. Overall, that's a wicked angle and quite to good looking girl, ^^. Interesting piece, I look forward to the finished product. -- "A third-rate mind is only happy when thinking with the majority. A second-rate mind is only happy when thinking with the minority. A first-rate mind is only happy when thinking" -A.A. Milne the angle of the camera is from the ground, slightly tilted up. she's leaning up against the wall, and looking down and to the right (her right
the "finger" is a connection wire from the headband to the speaker... it'll make more sense with clean lines and color i'm planning on keeping the shadows a medium dark and the lights a very white. that should clear up the confusion thanx so much for the crit! -- JadeEdge's Sketch-A-Thon!! The whole month of October: $10 Sketches! One day ONLY!! her left hand is kinda smooshed up against her left breast. it wasn't easy to get right. i used a reference, so it should be accurate. (i hope :d)
the headphones and the hand are a bit muddled. i should've taken the time to shade it... but oh well. thanx for the crit, buddy! -- JadeEdge's Sketch-A-Thon!! The whole month of October: $10 Sketches! One day ONLY!! |
